According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Iran’s Armed Forces General Staff and the Central Headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya, in a statement issued early Wednesday in response to the U.S. military’s aerial aggression against targets in Iran’s southern provinces of Sistan-Baluchestan and Hormozgan, stressed that the Islamic Republic of Iran’s Armed Forces will deliver devastating and crushing blows to the “vile and belligerent” American enemy.
The statement added: “The more the terrorist U.S. military insists on pursuing its acts of aggression in the region, the greater and heavier the losses it will have to bear.”
IRGC: We Have Begun a Punishing Response / The Strait of Hormuz Lock Will Tighten
In a related development, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced in a statement: “Honorable people of Iran, your continued presence on the scene has exhausted and disheartened the American enemy, while the resistance and strength of your brave fighting sons in the Strait of Hormuz have frustrated the leaders of the White House.”
The IRGC stated: “A few hours ago, in indiscriminate attacks carried out out of desperation, the invading U.S. military bombed multiple locations along Iran’s southern coast, including several civilian sites. These attacks have tightened the lock on the Strait of Hormuz and strengthened the determination of our fighters to suppress foreign forces intervening in the Strait of Hormuz.”
The statement added: “The brave IRGC fighters have begun delivering a punishing response to the aggressors, and in their first action, using the Aerospace Force’s new air-defense system, they shot down the 50th advanced MQ-9 drone belonging to the invading U.S. military.”
Missile Strike on U.S. Marines’ Base in Jordan / Large Number of U.S. Forces Killed
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) also announced: “In the second wave of the operation punishing the aggressor, carried out by the IRGC Aerospace Force’s brave fighters under the sacred code name ‘Ya Rasulallah (PBUH),’ a heavy ballistic missile attack targeted the U.S. Marines’ base in Jordan, known as Camp Tietin, located on the shores of the Gulf of Aqaba. A large number of U.S. personnel were killed, while several key facilities and the enemy’s attack helicopters were destroyed.”
Destruction of U.S. Spy Balloon Guidance System in Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan
Meanwhile, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced: “In response to U.S. crimes, the repair center and technical equipment warehouses of the terrorist U.S. military in Erbil, as well as the guidance system of a U.S. spy balloon at the base, were destroyed. The base’s fuel tanks were set ablaze, and a number of the aggressors were killed.”
Iranian Army Drone Attacks Target U.S. Base in Bahrain
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Office of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army announced that, in the 29th phase of Operation Thunderbolt and in response to the enemy’s aggression against southern Iran, the Iranian Army carried out large-scale attacks using strike drones against radar installations and gathering points of U.S. terrorist forces at Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.
Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain is one of the most important and sensitive U.S. military bases in the Persian Gulf region. It is also a major center for the maintenance and repair of helicopters and drone components and hosts reconnaissance aircraft.
The Army’s Public Relations Office emphasized: “The fighters of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army will deliver a powerful and extensive response to the enemy’s acts of aggression and will exact a harsh and punishing revenge on the aggressors.”
