According to Pars Today, citing IRIB, Mehdi al-Mashat stressed that the Saudi regime’s baseless claims about targeting Mecca are a desperate attempt to provoke nations whose awareness has grown to the point where they know the truth about this regime—a system that has insulted the Kaaba, the Holy Quran and the Two Holy Mosques, using the wealth of the Muslim community.

Al-Mashat explained that the Yemeni people are among the most devout and loyal to Islamic holy sites and are prepared to sacrifice themselves to defend the House of God, just as they entered the war in support of Al-Aqsa Mosque, the third holiest site in Islam.

He said these lies are no longer hidden from Arab and Muslim nations, just as previous claims concerning threats to international shipping failed to deceive them.

Yemen’s Deputy Foreign Minister Abdul Wahid Abu Ras also rejected Saudi Arabia’s claims that Sana’a had targeted Mecca, saying: “Those who gave the Kaaba’s cover as a gift to the criminal Epstein, opened the Two Holy Mosques to immorality and debauchery, and allowed Zionist Jews to enter them are the very people who are actually targeting Mecca and Islamic holy sites.”

Earlier, Hazam al-Asad, a member of the political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, had also said in a post that the claim that Yemen had threatened to target Mecca was a lie that had already been used and discredited.
