Ministry of Justice of the Taliban Once Again Demands Evacuation of Khatam al-Nabiyeen (PBUH) Seminary - خبرگزاری افغان ایرکا

In continuation of pressures and measures by the Taliban's Ministry of Justice to shut down and confiscate Khatam al-Nabiyeen (PBUH) Seminary—one of the most significant academic and religious centers for Shiites in Kabul—a member of the ministry’s technical commission has again visited the site and demanded its complete evacuation.

According to reliable sources, Maulavi Danishyar, a member of the Technical Commission of the Taliban's Ministry of Justice, arrived at Khatam al-Nabiyeen (PBUH) Seminary on Sunday (August 31) by order of the ministry, and requested officials and students to vacate the premises of this academic and religious institution.

Sources add that Maulavi Danishyar faced logical questions and objections from religious seminary students on the grounds. The students raised their concerns and grievances, urging the Taliban administration to provide the conditions for reopening this religious center.

Khatam al-Nabiyeen (PBUH) Seminary is regarded as one of the key educational and religious institutions for the Shiite community in Kabul.

Key sections of this seminary were closed by the Taliban's Ministry of Justice during the days of Ashura and one day after the shutdown of Tamaddun TV. The ministry has provided justifications for this action, but sources close to the seminary have dismissed these as "baseless pretexts."

Despite repeated appeals from religious scholars and various Shiite constituencies for the reopening of Khatam al-Nabiyeen (PBUH) Seminary, no practical steps have so far been taken to reopen the closed sections.

These measures continue while the demands of the Shiite community for the reopening of this scientific and religious center have so far been ignored by the Taliban administration.
