The second National Band-i-Amir Exhibition opened in central Bamyan province on Sunday, with the aim of promoting domestic products, supporting handicrafts, strengthening marketing and encouraging investment and economic growth.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry said in a statement that the three-day exhibition was inaugurated at the Ghulgula Hotel in the presence of Bamyan governor Qari Gul Haidar Shafaq, police chief Mawlawi Habibullah Shakir, Provincial Director of Industry and Commerce Hafiz Noorzai Aminzada, local officials, traders, investors, producers and residents.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Bamyan governor and the provincial director of industry and commerce highlighted the importance of such exhibitions in promoting domestic products, expanding their markets, supporting producers and traders, and strengthening the private sector.

According to the ministry, nearly 100 stalls have been set up at the exhibition, displaying domestic products and services, including industrial and commercial goods, handicrafts, carpets, dairy products, detergents and dried fruits.

Officials said the exhibition would continue for three days and provide an opportunity to promote domestic products, strengthen marketing and facilitate connections among producers, traders and consumers.
