Security Council Resolution Against Iran: Law or Politics?

The issuance of anti-Iranian resolutions continues to repeat while the context of these crises is filled with the interventionist and military actions of powers that have targeted the Islamic Republic for years with a policy of "pressure, sanctions, and threats." This fundamental question still remains: Are these resolutions the product of "law" or "politics"?

1. Distortion of Reality: Iran Is Not the Accused
    What is presented today under the title of "Iran's non-compliance" in the corridors of international organizations is absolutely inseparable from the hostile actions of the United States and the Zionist regime. From crippling sanctions to cyber and terrorist attacks; how can one speak of "law" while ignoring the violation of a nation's territorial integrity and placing the entire burden of responsibility on the shoulders of the victim of these pressures?

2. A Critique of the False Claimants of International Law
    The United States has for years violated the very rules it has approved through unilateralism, while simultaneously calling on others to observe those same rules. If international law is to be "law," it must not have double standards. One country cannot consider every action permissible under the pretext of "national interests," while regarding another country's legitimate defense of its rights as a "threat."

3. Nuclear Energy: The Right of Nations, Not a Privilege of Powers
    The peaceful use of nuclear energy is a right recognized for countries within the framework of international treaties. This right is neither a "granted privilege" that the great powers may withhold whenever they wish, nor a tool for extracting political concessions.

Final Word
If the Security Council and the International Atomic Energy Agency are to serve as arbitral authorities, one must honestly ask: Is the law the same for everyone, or do the great powers interpret the law in whatever way suits their interests?

The problem goes beyond a single resolution; the problem is "double standards" in international justice. Iran's resistance against these pressures is not opposition to the law; rather, it is the defense of the right against the "power-centered interpretation" of the law.
