Pakistan’s attacks on Afghanistan will not go unanswered: Farahi

Zabihullah Mujahid, chief spokesman for the IEA, has said that Pakistan bombed parts of Kunar and Paktika on Monday night.

In Kunar, one woman and two men were martyred and two women and two men were wounded, all of them local civilians.

He said a house and a shop were also targeted in Paktika, but there were no casualties. He added that Afghans would give an appropriate response to the aggression.

Mullah Hayatullah Muhajir Farahi, Deputy Minister for Publications at the Ministry of Information and Culture, said today at a one-day seminar on improving the intellectual, ideological and professional capacity of journalists in Samangan: “Unfortunately, Pakistan has once again attacked and bombed our beloved country, Afghanistan, resulting in the martyrdom and wounding of a number of innocent people, particularly women and children.”

According to information from the Ministry of Information and Culture, Farahi also said that Pakistan’s attacks on Afghan provinces would not go unanswered by the IEA and that “the Islamic Emirate will respond to these attacks at an appropriate time.”

He said: “The glorious history of Afghans is clear to everyone. The fact that Pakistan’s military regime has once again carried out airstrikes against Afghans means these attacks will not go unanswered, and an appropriate response will be given at the appropriate time.”

The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has also confirmed that at least three civilians lost their lives and four others were wounded in the reported airstrikes in Kunar. The UN mission has again called for respect for international humanitarian law to prevent civilian casualties.
